Mohamed Gabr is assistant topographer at the French Institute of Oriental Archeology in Cairo (IFAO). He travels through Egypt from mission to mission to make topographical surveys and draw plans for archaeological remains.

He has been participating in the Tell el-Iswid mission since 2010. On the mission, Mohamed is in charge of the topography. It contributes to photogrammetric surveys and surveys of built structures (brick walls). With the help of other members of the team, Mohamed is preparing the future geographic information system (GIS).
